Speeding Bus Slams into Truck – Major Accident in Kittur Taluk
A serious road accident occurred near Ambadagatti Cross in Kittur Taluk, Belagavi district, when a speeding private bus rammed into the rear of a truck, causing the truck to overturn. The truck driver was seriously injured in the incident.
The accident involved an SS Travels bus that was traveling from Bengaluru to Belagavi with passengers. The bus, reportedly speeding, hit the truck from behind. Due to the force of the collision, the front portion of the bus and the rear end of the truck were heavily damaged. The impact was so strong that it caused the truck to flip over.
The injured truck driver was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Police quickly arrived at the spot and, with the help of local residents, managed to rescue the bus driver.
The incident falls under the jurisdiction of Kittur Police Station, and further investigation is underway.
